Pros

The paycheck cleared the bank - Even though the pay is below market.

Cons

Where to begin. Know this - this is a family run company, which was not disclosed at the time of hiring. The post that talks about pressure to succeed is true in any sales organization, however you need a product to sell. There is no product, they do not listen to customer feedback, marketing thinks that they run the show and there is ZERO room to grow. Leadership is weak and poor at this company and no one cares about your opinions or what you have to say. They hired 13 senior sales people to start the year, THIRTEEN, and there are currently only 3 that remain (and as of this post there may only be 1). There is no equity given and management is clearly looking for an exit, which is not on the horizon. They are a consulting company at heart that is trying to shoehorn in a SaaS product, however the product was an internal tool that they turned client facing.

Pros

Coworkers (Excluding Executives) Dress attire Location Free drinks Texas Christmas party Can't think of anything else... I honestly have nothing left positive to say which should say something I just am required to post more in the Pros section just so I can submit this review (obviously that should be a red flag... and it is!)

Cons

THE CEO IS A DICTATOR!!!... (but the other executive's are also to blame!!!) They ALWAYS pay employees under market value; nor do they care to try and match market value (they will just send you on your way if you don't accept)! BTW This is why so many people leave the company. However, what they need to do is the opposite and pay raises should be given to those that make the company function and stop giving monetary compensation to the face delivering the product!!! The CEO will also push employees beyond normal working limits instead of hiring additional members to the team! (While still paying you under market value for your job). Oh yeah... You will be working a 8.5 hour shift everyday instead of 8 hours to maximize your employment while still being paid under market value... The website portrays a certain "culture" at Buxton and to be honest it is a total joke! The atmosphere is somewhat laid back but nothing like they advertise on the website so please be careful of being promised an awesome work environment! If the CEO says that people make a great company well it's about time he started showing it to ALL current employees and not just his executive team and favorites... Stop promoting false advertising to prospective employees!

Pros

Not sure there are any that truly impact the quality of life at this company. There are some very talented people left, although you wouldn't know it by the way they are treated. I guess the work can be interesting sometimes, but there is often such short timelines that you can't enjoy it. Pros? You get a paycheck twice a month (see Cons).

Cons

The pay is not great for the number of hours that are required (they say 42 per week, but I don't know anyone in operations who works that few). Before the owner came out of retirement, there was at least a sense that the employees had some value. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. Employees are devalued and distrusted. The regular employee is little more than a drain on the company's profit margin. The human resources department is literally gone. There is not one qualified person looking out for the best interests of the employees, their benefits, etc. This should be telling for anyone considering employment here. Will you get a paycheck? Yes. Will you feel good about it? No.
