A good way to get experience but a bad way to make a living

Pros

C2 gives you a lot of clients most of whom have very similar needs. You get good at tutoring standardized tests, and you have enough unusual clients that you get the opportunity to stretch your skills and genuinely create novel lesson plans sometimes. You also can take vacation whenever you please without really damaging your standing in the company.

Cons

The individualized education C2 markets *mostly* doesn't exist. Student to teacher ratio requirements and tutor preparation time allotments are such that I was only able to come up with individualized education plans if my boss made a special point of allotting me time for it, I did it for free, or it really didn't take much time to do. Also, like I said in the title, at least when I worked there, with an average STR of say 2.2 and per hour package price of perhaps $60, tutor pay amounted to perhaps 1/6 of session gross.

It's a place that allows a lot of flexibility with scheduling and for your individual teaching skills to shine.

Cons

Teachers are not compensated enough.
