Good place to Tutor, if you teach well / can get the hours

Pros

Students are usually nice, materials are provided for you, and scheduling is taken care of. If you are a good tutor and personable, you will get as many hours as you can handle (without going full time.)

Cons

Center managers can be somewhat disorganized, and (I) at least, was not compensated for the 30 minute planning period you are required to take before a full day, which you are supposed to be. Depending on your locale, you may be shuffling around a lot between centers. Most of these are minor issues, but a lot of them tend to pile up.

- depending on the center director, your hours may or may not suck. truly it's subjective to them. - flexible hours

Cons

- little room for growth, if at all - no room for pay increase - no benefits - they expect soooo much out of you: expecting you to churn out A's from students that put in minimal effort or C students.
