Pros

Get issued a laptop, get a pay check but is way below average pay for Instructional Designers by like $40k a year...

Cons

Where to start.. Very unbalanced expectations & extremely demanding expectations.. Like having deliverables due in first week without any training or management communication. Have to work for this terribly inhumane client of theirs called "i3" who are the team leads. Zero support at all from any from C2 , they are completely clueless and even had the C2 HR manager ask me once what my job was about.. Better hope not selected as a textpert or captivator as both jobs horrible and make you use unfunctional systems that are not even tested by IT.. i3 or whatever call these clowns act like team leads but never answer any questions or respond to questions. Total jokes.. They don't care at all & just want completion of their ridiculous training guides that lack any outlines often or SME details.. Will push terrible 1 week timelines for challenging complex work. Also the assigned SMEs are nice but often don't respond in a timely manner thus impacting deliverable completion as need their safe off. Place lacks any accountability & better off just work at a sweat shop somewhere in India as that is the treatment you'll get here. Beware this place is really sketchy & will throw any employee under the bus in a heartbeat.

Pros

Remote work. Exposure to large scale projects.

Cons

Performance expectations were unclear from the start-no measurable metrics or tangible examples of what "meeting expectations" looked like. Feedback was inconsistent and often arrived too late to be actionable. Very short window between being told output needed to increase and being terminated-not enough time for a reasonable turnaround. Lack of investment in employee success.

Pros

The worklife balance is nice, Many of the people that work there are exceptionally talented and also exceptionally friendly and nice on a personal level. If you make friends with people quickly they will take you under your wing.

Cons

There don’t seem to be many standard operating procedures and often times you get conflicting instructions on tasks. Because of this there’s often confusion and finger-pointing. The Supposed managers often come at their employees in a very negative way And you always need to be on your toes and have your ducks in a row and your emails saved so that you can defend what you did or didn’t do. The micromanagement is off the chain except when it comes to the management. I had a direct supervisor who continually created errors in my documents so that they could point them out to their Supervisor. They got a mentor, a raise and a promotion. The second issue, Benefits. There doesn’t seem to be any set schedule or any way to find out how to be promoted or to get a raise and at your annual meeting you’ll be lucky if you get a $.10 raise. And they will think they’ve given you $1 million. And expect you to be very thankful for that. Thankfully I have other alternatives for healthcare but they benefits in that regard are also not very good. The deductibles are extremely high and the out-of-pocket is almost double what is reasonable. This is one of those companies where they will tell you that “we are family” And you get treated like the illegitimate son of a millionaire. If you like working from home and do not need insurance this is not a bad job.
