Pros

- Competitive salary - Great benefits - Focus on employee recognition - Access to many diverse resources, such as electronic library - Easily accessible tuition reimbursement benefits - Very polite and friendly management - Management typically displays an enormous amount of respect and support for the private lives of employees - Dedicated employee retention program - Company-sponsored management and finance courses - Generous severance package - Active alumni program

Cons

- Recruiting process can be slow and bureaucratic. An enormous amount of time can elapse from the time you're given the verbal employment offer to the point where you actually receive the first "contingent" and the final "firm" offers of employment - Many positions require security clearances and during the long processing, you are seldom contacted with status updates - Hiring from within is just as slow and the employee referral process is no better, and as a result career growth within the company can become a challenge - Once you get through the emotional roller coaster of recruitment, the company itself is a great place to work
