Stay away from civil training department!!

Aviation is an interesting industry to work in.

Cons

Some heads of groups and teams are abusive to their employees and are still there after 3 years! Someone gets fired every month and replaced by someone else. HR turns a blind eye to it. If you want to work at CAE stay away from the civil training department.

Pros

Good experience, there’s a lot to learn.

Cons

No room for progression unless someone leaves. Management has become stagnant- no issues are addressed until something happens. It’s a put a plaster on it to stop the leak attitude rather than fixing the core issue. Work place politics. Staff are overworked and mostly unpaid, with pay rises given due to years services rather than performance.

Great Co Workers Parts are easily accessible 2/3 Shift mgmt leads were awesome and knowledgeable Inspectors were very thorough when checking your work

Cons

There was a decent amount of negative attitudes between shifts and one of the shift leads was very much into workplace politics which made for a bad workplace
