It’s all a facade

Pros

The people that work here are some of the most passionate and dedicated people you could ever work alongside.

Cons

LEADERSHIP! Terrible management from most of the Directors on up. It’s almost like no one knows what they are doing and they do not listen to any person of color if they don’t have a high title. Issues aren’t addressed and allowed to fester. Makes for a frustrating work environment for a lot of staff.

At CARE, we strive for an open, collaborative environment where all employees feel their work and perspectives are valued. We also provide development and training in areas such as communication, relationship building, and people management. Employees are always encouraged to approach their HR Business Partner with manager or leadership challenges so that we can work together to improve the employee's experience.

Pros

Great people other that some severe southern racism at the top and a horrific Major Gifts leadership.

Cons

Run don’t walk away from CARE if you are thinking of working in Major Gifts. The leadership are self-serving, ladder climbing cads who belong in trading floor sales. They care nothing about supporting the work or staff, rather keep reorganizing to increase their personal power and incomes. Truly, ask any of the 15+ people who have left in the last few years, the majority of which are people of color. It is a toxic racist team. Don’t just take it from me. Reach out to almost any former team members you can find on LinkedIn. They will say the exact same thing.
