Pros

Can be wholesome environment with very bright, hard-working individuals who truly care about beneficiaries.

Cons

Salaries are not particularly competitive and a painstakingly long re-org process affected staff morale.

Pros

Amazing mission, some colleagues really interesting

Cons

So under resourced that they expect you to do several people's jobs and punish you for not wanting to work 18 hours a day.

CARE Major Gifts - Worst Possible Leadership

Pros

Some great people still work here

Cons

Head of Development and Major Gifts leaders focus only on their personal ambitions, not at all on CARE's mission. They treat team members horribly. Toxic culture. 10+ BIPOC hired then fired or driven out within a year or 2. PLEASE NOTICE the pattern of FAKE REVIEWS posted by CARE HR -- short, inconsequential statements, attempting to game the review process.
