Pros
-Trains everyone for the position. -Even when overwhelmed, supervisors work with you to train you. -Immediate unpaid time-off hours provided on start date.
Cons
-Training covers the applications for the customer's data. Does not cover how to use the telephone system. -Strict adherence to one's schedule is required. Points given when scheduled adherence is not followed. Accumulating enough points is cause for termination. -Time off must be approved in advance. Calling out the day of absence is penalized. -Advancement is possible if you are liked by the right people, excellence in work and accurate knowledge is not required. -The work environment has the feel of being in High School with Spirit Weeks and themed dress up days. -Raises given for longevity are rarely given. If you miss qualifying for one, there is no knowing when/if the next one will be given. -Frequent fundraisers: -If you want to wear jeans, you need to pay. The money is given to a local charity. -An Employees Committee does frequent fundraisers to raise money from the employees to do activities for the employees. -If you are scheduled for a Holiday, you have to make up the time if your time off is approved. -In September there are mandatory workdays that no one is allowed to have off. -Occasionally there are mandatory overtime hours.
