Pros

Great offices, plentiful office supplies and equipment, free phone, lots of free lunches and other goodies from vendors, lots of support from corporate with your pay, I.T. and benefits.

Cons

Too much favoritism among the existing core group, training was not up to par and irrelevant to my position on some of the working program systems needed. The three main salesman at the time wouldn't task me the new project manager work even though I begged and asked for new projects every day. They didn't want my help due to my new learning curve effecting their bottom line. I mainly did estimates. Reading numerous prints every day on bluebeam, doing take offs, and putting estimates together, I grew very proficient and even ask the lead estimator for additional work. Unfortunate for me I was sacked because my financial project management numbers were low and on my 90day review after 120 days, I received no credit for all the effort and estimating I was doing on a daily. In addition to favoritism, upper management " the regional manager" Joe was dating the national manager who he promoted her to and there was no professionalism. She would try to flex her superiority to people who didn't even work for her. In the end, they let me go for not meeting my numbers even though I had twenty years of experience, asked to get tasked more every day, was very punctual, motivated, got along with everyone, and was eager to be an asset. It was very disturbing. Coincidently, i had just had a minor surgery on a limb and missed only two days while using my PTO. So, I was let go directly after having my surgery and needing my job to support my family. Like i said, there was too much backstabbing and favoritism! A bunch of job scared career aged people, that were strangely unprofessional except a very few who were very nice to your face but probably would stab you in in the back and throw you under the bus to elevate their position.

Pros

There's never a dull moment at this place. It is extremely fast-paced and exciting. I learn new things about this business every day and "boring" is not a word in my work vocabulary. The benefits are excellent, and the pay is competitive. There are opportunities for advancement within the company as well, which is always nice. Finally (and perhaps most importantly) the teamwork and camaraderie present here is unlike any place I've ever worked before. You hear it so often that it's almost become a cliche, but here it is true: you genuinely feel like part of a family when you work here.

Cons

Additional personnel to help shoulder the work load would be beneficial.
