Paid for training and my certification
I was mostly able to maintain a decent work / life balance
They had a good review process and focus on me and what I wanted to do
Cons
Was beginning to outsource more and with little value for subject matter experts
I reported to a manager from a different discipline who didn't always understand what my job entailed
Decent work/life balance, there is flexibility to move around in certain areas of the company. Management is hands off, (see cons as well). Salary and Benefits decent. Downtown Chicago location makes it access pretty reasonable for most. Depending on position, telecomunting is allowed.
Cons
Difficult to get promoted. Once an individual is in a position they are for the most part stuck in that pos until leaving. Management is hands off --need some direction! Too much work and no prioirity or direction provided by Management. Small company and with a small company resources are expected to wear different hats.
