Pros

Typical office job. Pay and benefits are great for what the work is. Must walk on egg shells to stay out of trouble as any work at an office would require.

Cons

Fake happy family crap that requires you to pretend to love everyone and everything

Pros

-niche market, so relative job security -amazing CEO and C-suite mgmt who makes everyone feel welcome and valued -easy to network with other employees (if desired) -great office (location and amenities) and office events (open bar, friendly international colleagues, salespeople all over the country) -always learning something new, working with cutting edge technology in some departments -very hands on, if you have experience and know how to make things better, you can probably get a lot of things to put on your resume, given that your manager is on board with your improvement plans -great benefits (RSUs, bonus, health insurance, PTO, money for continuing education, etc.) Summary: great opportunity for someone who is mid-level in their career, and a self-motivated changemaker. Would recommend if you have a couple companies under your belt and understand how things are supposed to work, so that you can help implement that. There's lots of opportunities for you to make a tangible difference and then build your resume with actual things you did. There is a lot of access to decision-makers and they are super friendly. However, if you are looking for structure and clarity or you are just starting in your career, it could be a difficult place. But very valuable experience nonetheless

Cons

-strange office politics that prevented collaboration and progress -silo'd and departments do not work together, junior level positions could feel very isolated and confused -job responsibilities were not clearly defined (I was expected to do way too much (UX/BA/PO for multiple client-facing products) with no direction, plus I had no direct UX experience) -team was very disorganized and many things were ad-hoc (no deadlines given, no clear expectations given, meetings were frequently scheduled last minute for things that were not ready yet) -if you are more junior, could be very frustrating to be effective in your role -despite telling junior-level employees contradictory information about why they could not be promoted, managers were promoted -depending on the department, people are very rigid and stuck in their way of doing things -some of the benefits are dependent on manager-approval, so if you get stuck with a sucky manager- good luck
