      Pros

      Though pay was very average for their contract employees the administrative staff was exceptionally supportive, particularly during the height of the pandemic. It is a great place for a retired architect or engineer to find meaningful work (in my case for FEMA building roads and bridges) and strong collegial atmosphere using agile management style (FEMA's approach). Great effort by CDM Smith, its partner Jacobs and FEMA , its client, in integrating contractors into the FEMA work force. Everyone felt part of the team on an important national mission to rebuild Puerto Rico.

      Cons

      After leaving the organization found that most equivalent companies are paying more for this type of work, but for a retiree its hard to find professional work and this work was absolutely pleasurable as was the comradery and the strong sense of mission.

      Pros

      Good company with good people. People there are pretty nice and welcoming. A big corp with different areas of jobs.

      Cons

      A big corp with minimum training sessions. A lot of unnecessary training every year but I guess that every big corp now.
