CDM Smith reviews

There is a small amount of people in the company, especially in non-management positions, who have the attitude of "we’ve always done it this way.” My experience is that when I have communicated an idea gained from past working experiences, it is not well received. The organization has recently survived reorganization, which is now become leaner. The remaining team are resistant to new hires – at least this is my experience. I find that processes and knowledge are guarded very closely and not readily shared unless instructed to. The existing team could be more receptive of a new employee's perspective and experience. The resistance that is received can stand in the way of productivity/efficiency and moral. However, to keep this positive, and because I see that this company is diligently working on the day-today business operations and processes, there are many CDM Smith people who are willing to encourage and support the new hire with the new ideas. The new hire is required to do a little research and ask questions to find these great people, but they are in there.
