Pros

Decent pay. Can be fun to interact w customers but it is EXHAUSTING. I frequently cook serve and talk about over 1,000 samples in a 6 hr shift.

Cons

No rewards for harder workers get the same hours as slackers. If you sell out ypu get to leave early but don't get paid for the whole 6 hr shift so it costs you money to excel There is some kind of points system that no one understands that is supposed to reward you but my friend worked 4 days a week for 2 yes and is excellent at her job and she has never gotten anything from it.

Pros

Good hourly wage for a part-time job. Good position if you like to have face-to-face contact with people. No late evening or night time work.

Cons

Most of the workers do not do their jobs. Many of the employees are bully's and they will verbally abuse you and harass you. There is a group of them that want everyone to quit. The employees look at other people's schedules that are posted on the wall and complain about hours other people are getting until the manager changes it giving them more. Many of the Costco employees and managers hate CDS and they will boss you around and look down on you, even though a majority of the customers come in for samples and we are basically a face of the company. The customers will eat multiple samples, then say the sample is not good and others yell at you for trying to sell what is being sampled which is your job.

Hostile work environment.

Pros

Having a job and getting paid.

Cons

Verbally abusive and two-faced manager that plays favorites, constantly changing schedules with or without your permission (hours too much or too little), having to stand for 6 hours straight, impatient customers that try to take advantage of you, no paid lunches, only 2 breaks (15 and 30 minutes, and randomly distributed), very crowded work environment that has no rhyme or reason, minimum wage, no opportunity to move up, and not a Costco employee.
