Pros
I worked here as a student, so they were understanding when it came to school. You must work holidays though. You can also expect a consistent schedule. You will always be working six hours with one 30-minute break and one 15-minute break. I got along with my co-workers pretty well; some of them were students and some of them were sweet retired ladies.
Cons
The customers are the bane of my existence. The things people will do for a two-bite sample does not cease to amaze me. Be prepared for people to stick their hands in your serving bowls, leave their trash on the floor, and crack the same dad jokes multiples times. You also have a sales goal that you have to hit everyday, which is kind of dumb because if the product is good, it will speak for itself. You do not get to choose which product you demo so one day you could sell out and another day you could sell only one. My manager would get upset if I wasn't super chirpy to customers for literally the entire shift.
