Pros

The best part of this job is the pay and the hours. The pay is way above average then any other job similar to it; no education needed and no skills needed. At 18 out of high school I was making 11.50 an hour. Also the hours are great, you can pick the days you want, however those days are not guaranteed.

Cons

Challenges of working here? None. Maybe the only thing would be standing for about 6 hours. There is pretty much no room for promotion working here, it is strictly a temporary part-time job (perfect for college students). Cons are the co-workers are seriously some of the dumbest people ever. They can never do their job properly and no one attempts to fix the problem. Also one of the biggest problems is the supervisors undermine the authority of the manager. As well the manager plays favorites with some of her friends. The only good thing I can say about this job is pay, hours, and you don't actually have to work directly with your coworkers, only the members.

Not great for long term.

Pros

Schedule can be flexible depending on your manager.

Cons

Upper management changes rules daily without any regard to how it could impact employees. One day you’re doing your job thinking that everything is correct and up to policy , the next day you’re being reprimanded for something that you had no idea changed. No benefits or commission come with working here, yet they push employees to work extra hard to make their sale goals. You don’t even get a discount to a costco membership, despite being the reason for their increase in sales. Not to mention, they give limited time to get tasks done. They expect you to be on the floor and fully set up within 30 minutes (which isn’t feasible when you have a cooking demo) and during shutdown, they want you to have station cleaned, dishes washed, and carts put away all within 30 minutes. This may sound like plenty of time, but when you’re working with a mixture of people who are up in age, careless, or new to the job, it can take a lot longer than intended.

Pros

One great benefit to working for CDS is a flexible schedule with 6-hour shifts. This is a huge help for students looking for part-time work during college. CDS also pays a great hourly wage! As you demonstrate different products, you may find your next go-to snack or meal.

Cons

One con for working for CDS is that it seems like the workers are the last people on the priorities list for company executives. You also may experience body pain due to standing for the whole shift and looking down as you cook and prepare sample trays non-stop.
