Pros

Exposure to a plethora of current technologies, especially in a first job out of college Extremely talented senior level devs and architects; great mentors Hours are flexible within reason for the most part Average pay for the area at the time of my employment

Cons

Benefits might as well be nonexistent In my 3 years of being with the company, I only ever received one performance review and a subsequent raise Upper management is a glorified boys club: if you're not in the clique, you can forget about your voice ever being heard. Very toxic and lowers overall employee moral, especially since they seem to not trust the employees at all The stooge CEO was more concerned with running several failed political campaigns than running the company. He would make grand promises for the future of the company, but then stumble to even get close to meeting these lavish goals If you get placed on site for project, you can forget about seeing your coworkers. I had several people say they thought I left the company during our quarterly meetings. Imagine how disinterested I became in the company after feeling like I was on an island for months

Pros

The senior developers are great people and great to work with and are very willing to help you grow in your career. It's a good place for young developers to get experience in many different areas, although it can be up to luck for how good your project is. There was a good atmosphere in the office and they have become much more flexible with remote work after covid. Another positive of working here, at least as a developer, is that you rarely work more than 40 hours per week due to being on a contract but you receive full time salary and benefits

Cons

The PTO and Holidays is too low and the 401k is weak. Besides the people mentioned in the pros there is very little that makes CEI stand out as a place to work. The CEO seems only focused on the bottom line. The company is slow to change and can be out of touch with it's employees.

Pros

Still have some good friends from my time there, but definitely no one from upper management.

Cons

Where to begin? The pay is laughable. I was told I'd be making a standard entry-level salary for my position but was offered over $5,000 less. The PTO and 401k plans are basically nonexistent. Incredibly high turnover rate. Management is poorly run, toxic, and condescending if you are not a member of their clique. After putting in my two weeks notice, I was immediately removed from my project and told to leave the next day. I never received payment for that time. I would have been upset if I did not want to get out of there so badly. You're nothing but a number to them. I was announced as a new employee TWICE at quarterly meetings within the SAME YEAR. After quitting, I was contacted AGAIN by a member of sales and told that "I would be a good culture fit and should consider applying."
