long hours, average pay, lots of politics amongst management, constant turnover. some ineffective/bad leaders.

Not a good place for an engineer to work

Pros

You get to enjoy some freedom while you travel and you may get some training for PHA/HAZOP leader but that's about it

Cons

Management is very petty, hassles you over minor issues and overlooks important things. The do not train new employees at all, you will be on your own. There are a lot of managers who will lie on you instead of taking accountability. Project work is not that interesting or rewarding.
