Pros

Respectable salary ranges, 3% company stock match

Cons

No work life balance, leadership will actively hold back your advancement, half the consultants barely do any work and the rest of their team has to pick up the slack for them, management lies to members. If you want to transfer to another business unit, it won’t happen. Your business unit won’t want to lose your billable hours so they will actively block internal transfers and do everything they can to keep you on your current project including threats and intimidation. When I quit, the VP of my business unit sat me down and berated me for my decision to leave for 30 minutes. Do not work here.

Pros

Good work-life balance Culture is good--people are serious about work but not super uptight Most managers don't micromanage Many opportunities for internal movement Many offices, so if you move you might be able to keep your job Decent benefits like stock purchase plan and unlimited sick leave Very family friendly company

Cons

Salaries are lower than the competition Constant reorgs make it very difficult to do your job Promotions are very political/upward mobility is limited (you see a lot of leadership's family members getting promoted/given leadership positions) "Working together" program is forcing people to work back in an office who used to be remote

Pros

Halfway decent medical insurance ( No premiums) Easy interview Weekends off and paid federal holidays

Cons

No pay raises ever. As a support associate you're assigned levels from I to IV. In NYC the minimum assigned is a III so the only way you'll get a raise is if you get promoted to Level IV which is an .80 cent raise. It is a literal dead end job, there is no growth and no opportunity to convert to the federal side. They'll tell you there's opportunity to transfer within CGI to other sites but the manager hasn't let anyone transfer so that's a lie. Some of the federal workers view you as inferior and will treat you as such. It's basically boring monotonous grunt work that most people will get tired of within a few months. Shredding papers, data entry, standing on your feet greeting the public, accepting passport apps and more. You do not receive sick pay and get minimal pto 1.5 hrs per week
