Pros

Good learning experience and a great place for you to get your foot in the door. People are great and friendly and the team are managable. Work is interesting depending on units that you work in.

Cons

compensation compared to other companies are lacking. You have to fight and fight hard for your salary.

Pros

tele-commute option for many positions, casual environment, travel if you want to client sites. There aren't a lot of good things that I can say about my employer. Filling this out reinforces how much I hate my job.

Cons

absurd number of hours expected, work/life balance difficult to maintain, project managers who are generally incomptent with software that is marginal quality. many managers, not many experienced staff and limited product knowledge, poor documentation. The expectation is to work 80+ hours, and it contributes to burn out along with bitterness between staff. It is time to move on toward a different career path with quality products and a better salary where employees are valued.

Pros

CGI offers an exciting work environment and welcoming innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. It is a competitive consulting company and brings many great consulting opportunities to its employees. The compensation and benefit package is competitive within the consulting industry. CGI also shows a strong sense of committment to its employees, and is dedicated to their professional and personal development. Overall, a great place to work.

Cons

As with any consulting company, the employee does not always have choice over the consulting contracts they are assigned. CGI does a good job of balancing this with the overall career and professional development objectives of the employee.
