Great people, poor tech experience
Pros
- They a have some really nice and smart folks. They are not that hard on hire, but they manage to get some really smart people. - Work/life balance is, usually, very good - Not too much stress or pressure most of the time. - Managers are friendly.
Cons
- Below average salary. They prefer to bring another low salary immigrant over keep a senior with a fair salary. Have been there for a while and saw that a lot. People come, get some experience, get a good offer elsewhere, that is not matched by CGI, and leave. In the end, my opinion is that they don't really care about your expertise or seniority, only about for how much you accept to work. - Don't get wrong, it's a shop software. They accept any kind of software development. Any kind. So, expect to change projects frequently and with few to none relation with your previous experience.
