Pros

Large organization, good PTO available upon hire, that's it.

Cons

Leaders with their head in the clouds that think they are amazing and the most talented people on this earth. Arrogant attitude that people are an expendable commodity no matter what value or service they bring. Data that is publicly reported is sketchy, the numbers are made to look good by removing certain data points or criteria selection. A lot of self-reporting by nursing units is dangerous, for example hand hygiene. A simple but essential measure, massaged by their hospitals to look better than they are. Every unit is out to look better than their neighbors and not put patient safety first. Policies and procedures are frequently overlooked or ignored until something goes wrong, then they come looking for scapegoats to fire. There are so many incompetent leaders promoted into positions that they are not experienced in, trained for, or have the body of knowledge for, it makes a competency checklist fit for toilet paper. Oh, and there's probably a VP of Toilet Paper in there somewhere too, along with one for paperclips and printer cartridges. Corporate run the show even though many have forgotten what it looks like to work in a facility or be on the floor. Every day there's a new initiative ore report that you have to produce as the system sucks and can't run an accurate one for you. Grew too quickly without getting the basics right. Too many people in charge that should still be playing with Lego.

Pros

Pay is acceptable, covered parking, and most of your co-workers are really nice but that is about all. Nothing more comes to mind.

Cons

This is the most UNETHICAL organization I've worked for. There are so many things wrong with this company! Please stay away and do not apply! They DO NOT hire top quality candidates or management. People have jobs in research, clinical trials, and they are not qualified! They have high school diplomas and don't understand IRB processes. I believe patient lives will be affected one day with the under qualified and uneducated people they hire. They don't have the right systems and tools in place. No one can find anything or direct you to the right place/person for an answer. You can't trust HR. They are a joke and disclose information to your leadership that should be confidential. I feel like I was duped. I thought I was working for a great non-profit hospital. Wrong! It's the worst company I have worked for and encourage you not to apply.

Pros

Co-workers are good people, for the most part.

Cons

Senior management gives lip service to staff about the "mission" but it does not factor into managing the organization and dealing with employees. Since the new CEO took over, it's been a bean-counting operation at best and it is all about the bottom line. The old organization no longer exists. Very sad.
