Pros

Non profit means student loan forgiveness. Some good employees.

Cons

Leadership is awful and is completely out of touch with the lower levels. They do not care at all about valuing their employees or showing them appreciation. In fact, they just put out a new policy that cuts the PTO. Working in a healthcare field, we are exposed to A LOT of infectious diseases. Plus, almost half of that PRO must be forfeited for MANDADTED holidays. I’ve never had another company require me to use my own PTO for days they close departments. They don’t even give you a choice about it. If you work five days a week, not the blocks of time like the clinical staff, then you spend up your days off for MANDATED days off. Better not get sick!

Pros

Good quality employees. Great location.

Cons

Corporate controls all the decisions and they don’t care about anything else else except the numbers. They dont care about the front line. The employees are not happy.

Pros

CHRISTUS as a whole is a good company. What it boils down to is your department. My department is fantastic, but I've heard from others that their department isn't always the greatest. I also love the mission statement and what CHRISTUS stands for.

Cons

No hybrid/remote on a company scale. It depends on your manager and your department, which kind of stinks. Payscale - the pay is good depending on where you are coming from. I know some individuals had to take a pay cut, while others came from a lower pay job and got boosted when they came to CHRISTUS. Eventually, you'll hit your market rate and can't go any higher. Also, it's difficult to get promoted within a department, you'll have to leave your department to get a promotion. PTO - The PTO for some isn't adequate to cover all the holidays, plus sick time and time off. Many employees tend to be disappointed with this.
