Pros
Compliance to standardized care at all Christus facilities. Have attempted to be supportive throughout Covid disruptions to employees.
Cons
Care increasingly focused and based upon reimbursements and compliance to medicare, not always what is best for patient, therefore nurse staffing is based on "numbers" of patients, not acuity always. It is a historical problem in nursing. Expansion to provide access to care to ALL in community, but not always fair to those that work for the facility as benefits have been increasingly streamlined to employees. Smaller hospitals in chain often left with diminished leadership and old attitudes clinging to employees.
