      Pros

      PTO stands for paid time off, the time you earn bi-weekly, which is vacation, sick and holidays all rolled into one. After 22 years, I receive 10+ hours every two weeks which is way more than fair. We receive an annual raise every year, 2-2.5% may not be a lot but you receive this every year; some employers don't give raises but once in a blue moon. I am allowed to work FULL time from my home and have an amazing boss. Good benefits and the company pays half of the cost.

      There are cons at ANY job. My cons may not be someone else's cons...that is for each individual to figure out.

      Pros

      I enjoy the other nurses and physicians that I work with, we are like a family. Lots of teamwork.

      Cons

      I don't feel that administration has our back and only care about what the numbers say. Short staffed the majority of the time and in the critical care unit, that can be very dangerous. And if you do get assigned 3 patients, they tend to overlook patient acuity.
