Pros

- fair compensation - good benefits (insurances, share-purchase plan with employer top-up, vacation days extension available without pay) - friendly staff in general (management, help-line and work colleagues)

Cons

- large staff turn-over (not applicable to all branches) - capped year-end bonus (some variables used in the calculation formula are completely out of your control such as the bank's overall performance for the year all the way down to your district where your branch is located) - unpaid overtime (not requested, but you'll have to do in order to meet your year-end targets) - short-staffed (particularly at smaller branches), you won't get a full-time associate like other FAs at bigger branches and you will have to fill-in for other staff members when they're on vacation or sick

Pros

Not a ton of work load. Ample opportunities if you want to grow within the advisory team.

Cons

consistently understaffed. Very hard to move into other departments. No feedback given, even after giving interviews for other positions
