Pros

Good people, nice schedule. The training is really good and you can feel that the management care about it.

Cons

High pressure, bad software (compass the new software is new and it show) and sadly and most importantly : low salary for fsr2. However it you're able to achieve your goal (hello breakaway) you can be promote pretty fast.

Pros

Its a good place to meet people and gain experience. The benefits are good the pay is below some other FI's for the similar position. The employees are generally good to work with.

Cons

Its a good place to start out but then you should jump to a more stable bank in terms of terminations. They over hire and let go of people, risk department is a joke, clients are nothing but numbers are the employees. The management is sub-par and get promoted due to the fact that the capable people leave to other banks and the left over moves up. Poor senior management in leadership direction.

Pros

Great work environment, the staff and colleagues allow you to excel and exceed in your position and career. There are plenty of other opportunities within CIBC, so even if you start out in one department you may not end up there.

Cons

Salary is a little lower than some of the other major banks in Canada
