Many interactions with people and helping with day to day activites

Cons

you can tell management is making the money as they show it when the building is run down, but they are driving high priced cars

Smaller than similar IT departments at other companies. This means you have the opportunity to "do it all" rather than getting stuck in some relatively small, repetitive task.

Cons

Management track is basically frozen. No room to move up. Side effect of a place where every manager wants to stay. You will need to be very patient. Slow to adopt new technologies because of budget constraints.
