Nice people to work with, west side of town

Cons

Company doesn't hire young people, as they retire they don't fill jobs or have skilled people to backfill. Venezuelan CEO's are never visible. No strategy funds to grow business and management cannot make decisions.

Outstanding benefits, including great matching 401K, bonus program, vacation incentive, and competitive salary.

Cons

Working in a refinery is not glamorous. Having no life outside of work during turnarounds (plant shutdowns). An employee development and review process that is not taken seriously and rewards favorites. Management style has become very dictatorial from the top management and has stifled employee creativity.
