Pros

The work environment and employees are a pleasure. Always room in their management program and there are many opportunities to come, as City Furniture expands to the North.

Cons

Being as it is sales, the floor can be a little crowded at times with sales associates. As far as being a manager, it's difficult to handle circumstances they way we should. Protocol requires us to go through customer service, passing the customer along, leaving room for error and lost translation.

Pros

Great pay and good hours with a reliable source of income in the resources you need to be successful, and make it pass here 30 days ( most people don't make it that far)

Cons

No let me tell you what is really like, you have to have little to know life in order to make it past your 90 day probation and possible. To keep your job even after that this job requires lots of commitment such as coming in on your days off and working an extra 6 hours only on pure commission by the way you also work all weekend no exceptions whatever you do make this a last minute decision to work here.

Pros

learned a lot of people skills. In sales, you learn not only how to deal with different types of personalities but you also learn how to mirror others personality in order to get what you want

Cons

there is not much chance for growth. everything is really political and you can be doing everything right, coming in on days that you do not have to, your numbers can be through the roof, but if you don't suck up to upper management, you don't go anywhere

CITY HOME Response

Thank you for your feedback. We have recently restructured our Sales Management team and moved new managers into our Regional Manager program. Additionally, we are currently working to improve the MIT training program and performance review process. Our culture has always been one that promotes-from-within and we want to make sure that how we promote (and who we promote) is transparent. Individuals who can drive performance and have well developed core competencies will continue to grow in our organization. The growth opportunities that we will have over the next several years, as we open numerous showrooms throughout central and south Florida, are incredible.
