Pros

Work life balance at times

Cons

Lots of “othering” of minorities; passive-aggressive, scapegoating boss w no backbone; expectations for women to be passive and to be viewed as “decent” you should be married (this goes for everyone) if you have kids

We appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. It will be channeled accordingly. As you should know from having worked at CITY, we strive to provide a fair environment to all our Associates while adhering to the DE&I principles and values. We regret the experience you describe and wish you would have escalated it to People Services at that time.

Pros

Weekly pay, ability to travel

Cons

They don't care what you have going on. I tried speaking to my supe about my child care issues and gave a time frame for when I would be able to AFFORD to put my child in day care. I was a float, I did not have a set store I had to be at. I was asking for a little accommodation until I could get my kid in day care. My supe was unwilling to work with me. When it came down to meeting with HR, HR told me they do not care about my child basically and I had to just figure it out. Also how ridiculous to have a policy that requires your probation to not allow you to take any days of for the next 3 months no exception. Like I'm a MOTHER, I had an emergency during my 1st week of probation and even though I communicated the situation my supe decided to use it against me to get me fired. On top of the fact that they blamed me for a truck not being processed that I DIDNT EVEN RECEIVE. So much for a family business... any ways had to post something on here to continue using the site lol
