Pros

Free Cookies and 30% furniture discount

Cons

Impossible sales goals, must work overtime until you reach you goal or you risk getting fired. That included coming in on your day off or working "life" which translates to 9am-9pm. The only people who make a lot of money are the people who have no life other than working at City Furniture. You can definitely make decent money, but you will have to practically live there.

Pros

City is a great company, they truly put their associates first through events, bonuses, and coaching. They make it easy to come to work everyday. The pay is great for what you are expected to do.

Cons

Customer service department is lacking, hours are rough on someone with a family. Talent is not developed and utilized properly.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We appreciate the feedback and we are always looking for ways to improve our Associates' satisfaction. Hopefully the recent schedule changes implemented in the Sales Department, as well as the addition of Holiday Pay would help overcome some of the challenges of working in a retail environment. Please keep your feedback and suggestions coming!

Pros

You make your own pay check, they have good benefits, it's a calm environment, and it always feels like family. I started with city furniture on 12/12/15 and I can say that I'm very blessed with my job. You do your 40 hours a week and that's that. I'm my own boss to a certain extent. They make sure they train you to become a professional associate. Managment and corporate are always willing to help out when you need them. I never want to receive my salary because I'm only aiming fot that highest commission; there's no such a thing as the highest commission; it's all up to you how much you want your check to look. You take as much customers as you can and as long as you have knowledge of what you are selling; you'll feel super comfortable selling. One thing that's about me, is my honesty with my clients. Even if the customer is not buying from me this day; it's all about cliental. City furniture opened a lot of doors for me and I can never be more blessed.

Cons

The only thing always stay in voice and vision with your customers. They can get picked up or pick up another sales associate; you don't want to lose your opportunity. You must work weekends but now you can request a weekend off if you need too.
