Pros

Family business. Works hard for its people. People first culture. Continuous improvement culture. Lot of opportunity to give ideas, participate in problem solving projects, get involved, give back to the community and so much more. Feel very engaged.

Cons

Retail environment sometimes require long days, weekends and nights. Got to love retail industry and serving customers. Economy can have growth impact on the business but that's true for all businesses.

Pros

The Culture - City Furniture has cultivated a culture that fosters inclusivity, collaboration, and a strong sense of community. This culture isn't just a facade; it genuinely permeates every facet of the company's operations. The Team - Working alongside exceptional individuals who not only exhibit profound expertise but also extend unwavering support has been a privilege. The sense of camaraderie, knowledge sharing, and mutual respect among colleagues is truly exceptional. Flexibility - City Furniture acknowledges the importance of work-life balance and has diligently worked to ensure that employees can achieve it. The flexibility in terms of remote work, adaptable hours, and supportive management all contribute to a harmonious work environment. Growth Opportunities - City Furniture places a strong emphasis on employee development. Whether it's through mentorship programs, access to a wealth of training resources, or numerous avenues for career progression, there's no shortage of opportunities for personal and professional growth within the company.

Cons

Salaries - One aspect where City Furniture has room for improvement is its compensation structure. Many of us have noticed that our salaries do not match up with what other tech companies offer for similar roles. In an industry where top talent is highly sought after, competitive compensation plays a pivotal role in attracting and retaining the finest professionals. In recent times, I've observed several of my colleagues receiving multiple offers from other organizations, many of which come with significantly higher salary packages. This phenomenon underscores the broader industry's demand for top talent and highlights the necessity for City Furniture to remain competitive.
