Pros
For a company that has grown as much and as quickly as CR, they are doing pretty darn good. Communication comes at us a few times a week and the information is there, if you read it. Information is on The Wire, if you read it. If you do not take advantage of the resources that CR makes available then that is 100% on the employee. Shame on you.
Staff is treated fairly and growth is an option if you work for it and put yourself in a position to be heard, recognized and appreciated. I am part of an acquisition and have been a part of a few acquisitions since joining the company. CR aims to get better with each one.
In my experience, the support, accessibility and honesty of Managers, Directors, VPs, C-levels and various national service departments (IT, HR, Finance, etc) is excellent. Everyone is busy, but if I have a question, suggestion and/or concern I have always been able to find someone who will listen and make me a priority. I might not see results that affect me directly, but if I see CR make an effort and do better with the next employee who faces a similar situation then I can hold my head high and be proud of the company I work for.
Cons
Communication is an issue. The correct people knowing about the correct info is an issue. As a national services employee I don’t think it is malicious or secretive, it is just tough to get info out to all who need it. I don’t judge my company based on that...I speak to my supervisor about what info I need to do my job as well as I strive to. It is my responsibility to tell someone what I need from CR.
So far my company has not let me down.
