Pros

-Remote first -Women in leadership

Cons

-No respect for personnel life -Lack of boundaries -No real company culture -No severance -Horrible communication from management -Unorganized and chaotic onboarding process Do not work here if you value your life outside of work or your job security. I was assured during my hiring process that “we never lay employees off here”, which obviously a complete fallacy. I am someone who wanted to do work within the realm of marketing that has to do with sustainability, but unfortunately this company still clearly values profit and the bottom line over anything else. I was on the East coast team, and would not advise applying for my former position once it opens up online due to the hostile and unrealistic expectations of the clients served in that region.

Pros

Lots of young people in the office, so some good camaraderie. If you have a good manager, there is potential for good work-life balance.

Cons

Absolutely terrible onboarding process- no training manuals, allowed some team members to train new employees who were clearly shouldn't be training anyone due to bad interpersonal skills. The pay was awful to begin with, however when I expressed this to my manager after a year, I was assured that I could look forward to the upcoming performance evaluation to ease this worry. Well folks, after getting great scores on my eval, I was rewarded with a $0.26 hourly pay increase, which was frankly a slap in the face. When I pointed out that this 1% pay increase doesn't even keep up with an standard ~3% cost of living increase, I was told if I didn't like it I could find a new job. So not very open to hearing employee concerns. There was mandatory overtime every winter, before the end of the year. Employees feel forced to work since the pay is so low, but get burnt out easily because of the lack of work-life balance during a time that is already very busy in people's personal lives. Additionally, the office culture was generally pretty laidback and nice, however during my last six months there, my team got a new manager from the east coast. This became an issue when she tried to deploy rigid, formal, east coast culture on our casual west coast team. Among other things, she made arbitrary changes that I felt were power plays more than anything (such as moving the call center to the middle of the floor where they disrupted everyone) under the guise of "increasing efficiency".

Thank you for sharing your experience. We appreciate the constructive feedback. Developing our managers and improving our onboarding experience are primary goals for us in 2021. We’re working companywide to develop the communication skills of our people managers, and later this year, we’ll be introducing a new onboarding process to ensure a more consistently positive experience for our new hires. We’re confident these changes will have a considerable positive effect on our employee experience across all teams.

Pros

Exciting, fast paced organization and industry. After years of talk but no action, new CEO and Executives appear to be pushing forward with a strong plan.

Cons

After many years of change, with leadership coming and going...the change continues. I am more optimistic now than I have been, however the company needs to do much better with their financial recognition of employees who are exceeding expectations and who have stuck with the company through some tough times. 2.5% Merit increase for employees exceeding expectations is pathetic and insulting. People will keep leaving if this doesn't change.
