      Plenty of work to do and problems to solve

      Cons

      No career path, focus lately on buying market share rather than improving business processes, business teams continue to move from crisis to crisis, integration of new acquisitions are not really well thought out, now a 24/7 operation yet staffing isn't adequate, preference to hire contractors means no organizational knowledge

      -Analysts and support staff are extremely intelligent and passionate -Free coffee every day -Lunch breaks allowed some days -Chairs provided at desks (optional)

      Cons

      -Rampant nepotism, don't expect to advance any time soon. If you are fortunate enough to have a fair manager you may receive pay increases but job responsibilities never change. -Middle management is shuffled out every 6 months or so -Absolutely inconsistent work environment

      Incredibly Political and Culturally Awkward Environment

      Pros

      The company is doing well. There are some great people mixed in with the plentiful "bad eggs." The industry is interesting.

      Cons

      More cliques than my daughter's middle school. Progress is often hampered by political jockeying. There are silos all over the place. Cross-departmental communication is poor. There is a great deal of self-promotion and sucking up. The culture is one of distrust and frustration.
