Pros

They bought us, and bonuses increased in really impressive matters, they where very professional. They decided to close the branch, but they did it in such a respectful way with crazy amount of benefits including personal mentors and few salaries, they even made us goodbye party. I really left in good feelings

Cons

They fired us all, so yes. Sometimes they where too much corporate, middle management was average at best

Pros

Generally strong job security depending on role. Company is well-positioned in the industry and employee benefits including salaries are above average.

Cons

Niche industry which potentially limits exit opportunities. Inorganic growth quite limited and google partnership means that all applications are google-based (google chat, gmail, etc.)

Conservative & Stunted

Pros

The company has a robust reputation in the industry. Impressive name on your resume if you want to work in derivatives. Good compensation and benefits with a reasonable workload.

Cons

Little to no thought diversity at any level of management. Diversity initiatives are performative and mostly include hiring interns and junior employee POC. Self expression via colorful fashion, piercings, tattoos, dyed hair is siliently discouraged. This is a very conservative company, if you don’t appear to be conservative or completely devoid of opinions, you will not succeed here no matter how smart and capable you are. Managers are not supportive of employees’ involvement in employee resource groups, especially those that touch on social issues like climate change, LGBTQIA issues, and disabilities. Higher ups also silently discourage asking questions, especially in larger meetings. The message they spread about valuing their employees thoughts and opinions is empty rhetoric.
