      Easy going environment, a lot of PTO, and cool cafe

      Unfortunately there is no room to grow at COCC. The majority of jobs are entry level types and having a chance to learn and develop a professional career simply don't exist. I worked there for 5 years and had the chance to jump to different departments, but the pay rate was never going to increase. Annual reviews are done, the problem is the business model pays most employees a very low starting salary regardless of position or job classification so when you do receive a raise/increase it's minimal in the big scheme of things. Very weak management is also an issue at the company.

      Very strange place to work. It's not uncommon to have more experience than your current manager, who usually has the job for reasons other than merit. Favoritism seems to be the over-riding factor in employment at COCC unfortunately. The other down side is there is little or no upward mobility, so there is almost no opportunity to carve out a career for yourself. Human resources is also an issue. The department operates more as a bully than to facilitate employee issues. Surveys are very common at COCC and you will be expected to provide glowing responses or else. Overall very disappointmented I accepted the job

      Amazing culture! Leadership really values employee happiness. I have never worked for a company that cares so much about the employee engagement and satisfaction.
