Some managers do not give a person a chance to take on more responsibility while other managers do. You can be told you are doing a great job and made improvements and still get a lower than cost of living raise while another manager gives more responsibility and a much higher raise.

Poor salaries compared to other companies. Paid time off is lacking. Management quality could be better.
