Pros

Some very good people to work with. Interesting and challenging work Dedicated employees that hope to see better days return, where corporate greed don't rule the day

Cons

If you're not the lead dog, the scenery never changes! Very, very tough conditions right now. Employer seems to really hate the employees right now Expect to be laid off for long periods. Employer wants total commitment from employee but commits to nothing in return. Compensation and benefits...no as good as they used to be. I used to love going to work, they beat that out of everyone. Sad but true! Long hours, unfair treatment of everyone under upper management. Selling off of assets and peoples livelihood and families big time. No sense of job security at all. In good times or bad. Management has disciplinary quotas "Nothing wrong? Find something!" Actually taking a risk just leaving these comments (Reprisals from company if they find out who speaks against the company)...No this is not joke.

Pros

Compensation is good. Employees can access deep discounts from customers and suppliers. There is national job transferability, which is excellent in helping accommodate a spouses career.

Cons

This company commoditizes it's people remorselessly. Working here is to be in a constant state of anxiety. Employee's lives are treated with reckless disregard; forced sudden long distance relocations; complex rules that change constantly and arbitrarily; severe discipline for minor infractions; frequent dismissals and suspensions. Junior and middle management often enforce rules unevenly an impulsively, and can be petty, vindictive, inexperienced, spiteful, arrogant and bullying. 60-70 hour work weeks, no personal, home, family or social time. A deliberately Byzantine burocratic labarynth for compensation and payroll. The CEO makes Bonaparte seem a well adjusted humanitarian.
