Like most public companies, leadership only cares about shareholders. Limited flexibility because we're a "family."

The schedule is terrible along with the management across the board. This company continuously pushes the "Home Safe" safety program while driving workers to break both OSHA and FRA regulation in order to allow for equipment to meet the minimum requirements inspections while maintaining production at a high level. This incentivizes management to push employees to complete inspection paperwork merely as a formality without actually completing safety inspections of both trains and safety equipment. This consistent push for speed far outweighs the need for safety in the eyes of management. Within the company workers are forced to walk a double-edged sword, don't do your job good enough and you're fired, do your job to good and you're still fired.
