      Overall good benefits package, nothing is really left out. Corporate offices in Toronto and Calgary are beginning to bring on younger more enthusiastic employees Competitive salary for the industry and role

      Recent ownership change has created an environment plagued with low employee morale, role ambiguity and significant red tape Corporate team building events have seen dramatic cuts in recent years Lack of support from counterparts in the organization

      Great people, poor upper management

      Pros

      It was a great place to work and I really did enjoy working there until Hunter Harrison took over. Now working at CP is just la job.

      Cons

      Upper management is now really all about the bottom line. Caring about the employees is not a priority. I've had some great managers at CP but things are now quite different.

      Worked with great entry and mid level management people

      Cons

      no work life balance, poor upper management attitude. Only actual running trades management knows how the operation actually works. Many high level managers have never stepped foot even on a train. Ruthless CEO and overall horrible experience. No sleep. Work at 1AM. Phone never stops ringing.
