Decent incentive pay, although base salary is well below industry average.

KCS went downhill in the last 2-3 years. First it was being hauled off to "Safety Camp" with the worst corporate (contract) trainer I have ever seen. She literally spoke of not bullying people, then spent the rest of the class bullying people. I watched ask the women in the room to raise their hands, one lady did not. The trainer questioned her as to why she did not raise her hand. "Was it because you identify as a man?" Then came the CPKC acquisition. Clueless baboons from the north, micro management, headcount cuts, budget cuts, promoting the cronies from Canada and demoting or firing the former KCS employees.

Good pay, benefits are good, coworkers are funny and great to work with.

Cons

Management is different but tolerable. 24/7 work. No days off for those on call, unless your on a regular job.
