      Pros

      This company used to be family focused and believed in ethical core values, The company had great vision and leadership.

      Cons

      As with many companies, leadership changed. The entire internal environment across the enterprise shifted and became very toxic to any workflow requiring synergies between teams. The company essentially lost most of the experienced and knowledgeable individuals across the country in all markets.

      Pros

      Oldcastle is a holding company of sort to a very large number of smaller construction companies across the US. Gives you some options if you should wish to relocate and work for the individual company instead of the Corporate entity. Go for the individual local companies for a great career path in construction.

      Cons

      In a very long and continuous corporate restructure with a "written" vision, but lacking the internal leadership community to keep the departments on the correct path. Many of the VPs and GMs are focused on their personal growth vs the overall growth of the entire employee structure. Respect and mentoring for individuals who they oversee is at the very bottom of their "to do" lists. In the "corporate" divisions, you are more likely to be tossed under the bus then to be a member of the team riding the path of vision. The "local" individual companies which all report to Corporate are much more intune with their employees, and offer a more pleasant career path.

      Pros

      Decent benefits, friendly people. Large company with a large national framework. Located in every state. Very good current and projected financial growth.

      Cons

      Old school mentality, lack of growth opportunities. Lazy management that loves to delegate and not produce. Cannot seem to hang on to good talent.
