Pros

Oldcastle has good pay and a worked very hard to keep medical premiums cost effective. The product was a high quality, and the environment was very safety conscience.

Cons

The company lacks communication across the board, executives do not want to listen to middle management ideas and have made some acquisition missteps. New CEO in last six months meant major layoffs of key knowledge employees and I fear brain drain.

Good benefits and 401K are attractive at first.

Cons

Not an equal opportunity employer. They hire minorities for the manual labor but not other areas. Very few females or older workers. Lack of advancement opportunities. Low wages.
