Pros

Getting to know the customers

Cons

Management is a joke!! Scheduling isn't fair...but more a serious joke! Lots of favortism. Asking for something is like pulling teeth. Supervisors don't listen to ANY employees concerns or otherwise. Flexibility is nothing but a joke...there is no balance of benefits, no pay raise of any kind no matter how long any employee has been with the company. This company really sucks. If the hours of availability don't match this company will just take that employee off the schedule or force them to quit! So not fair.!

Flexible to an extent

Pros

Somewhat flexible schedule, I work a full time job as well, and when things go as planned (see cons below), it fits in well with my schedule. I have worked for another merchandising company in the past and Crossmark is far superior in how they operate. I do like the convenience of being able to work from my phone and I personally like traveling to different areas/stores. Be prepared to be more customer orientated than a retail job will make you be.

Cons

I have a supervisor who is really bad at communicating. He would randomly send me projects with no notice that were due that week with very little time to alter my schedule to complete them. I work a full time job as well with a non-flexible schedule and even though I made this very clear during my interview and multiple times talking to my supervisor, it didn't seem to matter. I would also be assigned a new area with no notice. Alot of the emails he sends out are very vague. Also, a shift lead in almost any retail store will make more than you. Some stores do not believe you are a rep (I had this happen in multiple locations) or may not believe they need a rep to do the work that their corporate offices pay us to do. I have had a store manager curse me out in the middle of the store because of this, so be prepared for that.

Pros

Flexible schedule, management at club level varies.

Cons

No annual raises or performance reviews, pay is below average, constant changes of procedures, training for the changes very poor. Inconsistent execution- one day this, next day that.
