Pros

- Self-sufficient setup, mostly working on your own - Creative freedom in presentation and cooking style - 6-hour shifts, not too long or short

Cons

- No raises, ever. - Very few hours, at most 3-4 days a week, with 6-hour shifts - Not very mentally stimulating, can be very boring/tiring when slow

Pros

Work on your own. Easy work.

Cons

The pay is very low. You will rack up a lot of mileage on your personal vehicle. Low mileage pay. Constant micro-managing. No raises. No ability to advance within the company.

Pros

Nothing to report here. They provided me with nothing.

Cons

HR is nonresponsive as I've tried contacting them 5 times in 2 weeks and they haven't responded yet. I was asked to complete offboarding tasks and was immediately booted from their system so I couldn't complete it. I have reached out repeatedly because I need to update details and they refuse to respond. Mind you, they asked me to update the information as part of offboarding but immediately after asking refused to let me. I reached out to now former managers and they just redirected me back to the non-responding HR department. Field Managers/District Managers can be dismissive - as in, as a new employee, my manager did not check in with me once and whenever I reached out to her (because she never reached out to me) and asked a question - you know, because I'm new and know nothing- she gave me a one liner that didn't even answer the question. This happened twice except the 2nd time she didn't respond at all. Poor training- as in they decided I didn't need any without talking to me at all. I spent 3 hours in a store that wasn't mine "training" and it was decided that I didn't need anything else and needed to get to work. I reached out and asked for proper training and heard nothing back from either of the 2 managers I had contact details for. Only when I decided to quit did they reach out and beg for forgiveness and offer me training. Horrible communication, as in they just don't respond to you. You get hired under false pretenses. I was told I'd be working books, required to be in store on Thursdays and would get adequate training. After being hired I was told I'd be working books and magazines. That eventually changed to books, magazines and other products within the stores and that Thursday requirement was also inaccurate. I was given stores I would work which after being hired also changed.
