Pros

Zero! A paycheck maybe and very low one at that. Only there short time and ran

Cons

Management is inexperienced, lacks empathy, knowledge and most common soft skill managers should have, customer service. Benefit premiums are outrageous, no retirement match, no training, support but a lot of gossip, stalking, micromanaging, bullying, unethical behavior. Employee Relations is a joke. No call back, no results, false investigation and unjustified termination. Run the other way.

Pros

Super easy, fun and low stress job. Customers are nice and in a good mood because you're giving them snacks. Everyone will like you! I enjoyed setting up attractive and appealing food demo display tables. Good job for you if you don't mind interacting with the public in often very crowded and busy stores. You work independently:The store personnel never bothered me all day. I only saw them on my way in and on the way out of the store. No supervision: Only interacted with management by phone and email. No opinion on culture or senior management because I never actually met them and I worked on my own.

Cons

They wanted me to drive to other cities and counties to get enough hours The mileage reimbursement is too low The pay is low Not enough hours . I made $10.85 an hour. Not worth the wear and tear on my car or gas. So I quit. Because I was not willing to drive too far I didn't even get 4 days a month. Only had 4 to 6 hours a shift when there was work in my area. They expected me to provide certain things like a small microwave and bring it to the event. I refused to take any events that involved buying anything unless it was super cheap like a tray to display snacks. Customers interrogated me about food demos and whether it was allergen or gluten free. I just referred them to the label. When you show up to the store, your contact or department manager may not be ready for you even though you confirmed the all the details. There might not be enough space for you to set up. They may act like you're an inconvenience even though the store wants you there to help increase sales. There is no way to move up in this job. You have to bring things with you: folding table, demonstration materials provided by the company, cooler you provide yourself to keep food fresh.

Pros

For moms, retirees, or anyone just needing some extra work on the side, an event specialist job can be fun and earn you some extra money. I enjoyed many of the events and got to know several customers in my regular stores. Your schedule is somewhat flexible and you can turn down events or travel to other stores if you want.

Cons

Lots of weekend work, so that can clash with family plans sometimes.
