Pros

Getting to work alone and not having any specific time to be at work are the best things about this job.

Cons

First off, if you are part time, forget about ever getting a pay increase. I asked my supervisor about getting a raise and was informed that she had "no control over raises". So I asked who do I speak to about it and was ignored. From reading posts on their community forum and speaking with other employees, I've not heard of anybody ever receiving a raise. Next, the workload can vary quite a bit. Some weeks I have 5-6 hours, other weeks I am hard pressed to finish in 3 full days . The handheld to collect data isn't too bad hardware wise, but the software is awful. Project instructions range from poor to barely adequate. If you happen to do a project that gets cancelled while you are out doing it, expect your payroll time for that project to disappear. If you don't notice it, you won't get paid for it, and if you do, expect to jump through hoops to get it straightened out. Other issues - travel and mileage compensation is atrocious, the website to schedule work is terrible and has problems on a regular basis, and field support can be hit or miss.

Pros

**Independence** Nice Pay Rate Meeting new people daily

Cons

Low morale upper management NEVER has anything nice to say. Promotion is all about who you know not performance. NO RAISES EVER!!! Low bonuses. Lack of proper training- ES don’t know what to do Managements doesn’t know what to do. CONSTANT POLICY CHANGES this job and its duties change from week to week. My district manager has no college degree and used to be a waiter before he became MY manager. Sales team assigning events the day before the event is supposed to take place and expecting coverage. NO REAL OFF DAYS. Crossmark is a joke.

Pros

They do pay on time and payroll is accurate. Great place to work if you are only seeking part time. They do offer a 401K plan for part timers. Employee can contribute up to 6% which they match at one half.

Cons

Car allowance of .26 per mile is not adequate plus you have to pay for the first forty miles from your home and the last forty if there is no call in between. There are no pay raises. Also frequent problems with handheld devices.
